Hey OCUSP,
Does anyone have any
experience with convocation robes/gowns made from recycled materials? We are
considering a switch this year to gowns made from recycled plastic bottles. We
would not be purchasing them, but would rent them for our ceremonies.
If your institution
has used something like this, I am specifically wondering:
- what company you
used, and if you would recommend them
- if you purchased or
rented
- if you had any
issues or problems with the gowns or the vendor
- if you included
recycled content as a specific clause in any RFP for the gowns
and
- how your RFP was
worded - i.e. would you only accept recycled content gowns, or was recycled
content an optional part of your criteria
Like others, we will
probably need to accept the lowest bid, so we're trying to decide on how best
to word the RFP.
Any info would be
much appreciated.
